BB Easton’s Praying for Rain trilogy had this trope, and I devoured the series in four days. Usually, I don’t mind this trope, but I wasn’t a fan of it here. If you are not a fan of insta-love, then do not read this book as Darby and Kellen are instantly attracted to each other. She was also involved in a physically and emotionally abusive relationship – she struggles with the trauma throughout the book. As an adult, she’s extremely smart and even more caring. As a child, she was very imaginative and caring. I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland, so I loved the setting.ĭarby was also a pretty cool character. While I am no stranger to mafia romances, Devil of Dublin was my first one set in Ireland. She is thrown into Kellen’s world, and he will do anything he can to protect Darby at all costs. About 10 years later, Darby returns to Ireland for her grandfather’s funeral and sees Kellen again. He would barely speak to her, but there was this intense connection between them.
